Thread: Chase the Lightning (Attn Miranda, Any)

Ella pulls the sleeves of her hoodie down around her hands and hugs her arms to her chest. Her blond hair stirs around her face in the harsh wind that whips around them as she looks up to the sky.

She turns her attention to Scorches, watching his face and his body language as he studies the rapidly approaching storm.

Nikki stands at the bottom of the steps of her cabin, looking up at the sky. She has a smile as her chin is lifted to the oncoming storm. She glances across seeing Scorches and the new girl. She lifts a hand in greeting and continues walking towards the main area to get a better look at the sky.
Her blonde hair tied back in a ponytail that the wind is playing with and her green eyes alit with interest at the sky.

Nathen looks about as he wanders into the main area, watching the sky with interest and caution, he moves with adept silence and stealth, he may be hard to spot on first glance, though he isn't hiding his presence.

Johanas slept under a tree in front of the cabin with his hat pulled over his eyes as a the sound of a thunder crack crashed through his ears. Stirring awake Johanas readjusted his hat and looked around as the weather brewed around him. He had lived his whole life in the midwest and this kinda of storm was more of an eager anticipation rather than much of a fright, so long as the worst of it like tornadoes kept there distance.

As Johanas looked around taking in the storm, he spots Nathan and Nikki hanging around.

"Looks to be an interesting storm is rolling in," Johanas said to them as he got up and dusted off his pants.

Nikki nods to Nathen and Johanas, her eyes still flitting between the sky and Scorches. "Looks like it." She smiles.

Ella stands with her arms crossed; she lifts her fingers in response to Nikki's wave but keeps her attention on the man beside her, paying no heed to the approach of others.

Scorches closes his eyes and looks up into the sky, thunder rolls, lightning rips across the sky and the first drops of rain begin to fall as the wind comes in gusts.

He protectively puts an arm around Ella and leads her to the center where Nikki and the others have gathered. He meets Nikki's eyes with his own dead eyes. He nods to her, leans his head back and howls.

His howl ring out, growing louder and louder as the thunder and lightning arcs across the sky as if in answer, a deep throated, bass howl answering the rumbling and calling to the approaching storm.

Asteria walks out onto the porch of her cabin, having be woken by the storm. She looks to where everyone is gathering and begins to walk slowly towards them, her black waist length hair whipping around her face and body. She stops a short distance away from the group as Scorches begins to howl, looking up at the sky.

Ella growls deep in her throat, her body tense with the excitement of his howl; waiting for what was coming.
