Thread: Getting Aquainted

A short young man not looking a day over 15 approaches from the north. He's dressed in torn t-shirts and jeans with a dirty looking long denim coat. He also wears a straw cowboy hat on his head. He stops as he sees her sitting there and tilts his head to the side but says nothing, just waiting for her to notice him.

She looks up when she hears a noise, seeing the boy there she looks at him, then goes back to drawing in the dirt.

"Do you always watch people from a distance?"

He smiles and approaches cautiously. As he gets closer she can see what looks like a hub cap attached to a steel rod in his hand. He says with a grin, "Better to know if its safe first than to be sorry."

She tightens the grip on her knife, watching him move closer.

"That is a very smart thing boy."

Roscoe looks at his ax and grins as he speaks, "Not bad for being made of old car parts. It definitely gets the job done and its a lot sturdier than it looks. I make all my weapons out of junk that no one is using anymore."

She stops drawing in the dirt, then using her free hand she spreads the dirt around erasing her drawing. She looks up at him now, licks a corner of her mouth then lays back a little.

"It's nice. Do you have a name, Boy?"

Boy? His expression drops a bit at being called boy. He looks at her and just says, "Which one do you want?"

"Well I'm sure you'll want me to call you something other than boy..."

He nods with a serious expression to him. He thinks about it a moment and gives the full name, "Roscoe Cecil Bennett aka Smashes the Dumpsters, Homid, Bone Gnawer, Ahroun, Fostern and you are?"
