Thread: Training of the Senses (6/8/10 Pius and any)

Pius enters the place, he is wears jeans and a plain black T-shrit. Looking around for Eric. Once he seems him he will head over to that area.

"Hello Eric, How are you this evening?"

Pius sits down and looks around.

" Good I am glad to see you dressed for the occasion. " The waitress comes over and Eric gets a Guiness. Whenever she is done asking Pius what he wants and moves away Eric begins to speak to Pius again. "So where do we start?"

Pius shakes his head, "No that is ok, I don't need anything to drink."

Then he looks around and leans closer to Eric so he can hear him. "This is the ability to use the power of your mind to the fullest. Like everything it starts out small but the realm of possibility is great."

"So this evening we start out small. The good Lord gifted you with five senses: Smell, Sight, Touch, Hearing and Taste. We have seen in every day people that lost a sense, one sometimes counters by the increased ability of another. This will allow you to increase them whenever you wish it."

"First you have to tap into that ability. Lets start off, relax and open your mind. As you do this you should be able to hear more of the world around you. Not just talking, but hearts beating. Your sense of smell becoming sharper and stronger. The room should now be an Ocean of Sent and Sound."

looks to Eric

Eric relaxes, his mind at ease, he streaches his senses out. His mind starts to play tricks on him, he disciplines himself forcing himself to focus. Conversations start to become louder the din from the bar starts to overwhelm. Eric having learned to seperate sounds as a soldier tracking through the woods concentrates and drifts starting to listen. Thump , Thump, Thump echoes in Erics ears as a waitress hustles by. " Kristy you know he's bad for you..." echoes from three tables away. Stale beer almost over powers the Guiness on the table. Eric lifts the bottle smelling deep the smell he had almost forgotten...

After a few moments Eric mentally comes back to the table. He looks to Pius with a smile. " That is very intresting I ... almost forgot some of those ... things of the past. "

Pius nods, "Now, pick a sound and lock onto it and then begin to focus just on that you should be able to block out everything else."

looks to Eric as if to begin.

"Your sight will be increased as well, you will see in great detail. Smaller items, flaws and design will no longer escape your vision. With low light you will be able to see if it was well lit area. If it is pitch black you will still be blind, but your hearing could be used to aid you."

"This is what it will be like for all of your senses. All increased and will serve you better."

Eric looks around the room his eyes fall on a table where the girls he had overheard had moved to. They now have two guys with them and the one known as Kristy seems to be hanging on one. Eric focuses on the table that the girls are at he faces his table cutting off his eyes line of sight. His ears stretch out trying to hear their conversation. The jumble of conversation around is near overwhelming. He is ever vigilant in his tasks and disciplined enough to cut out the noise. He hears...

" Steven is it true you are seeing ... CRASH" as someone drops a mug onto the floor. Eric wincing forces himself onward.

" James you know I think your cute but you just not my type... Do you need anything else gentilemen." As their server comes back to the table. Eric asks for another Guiness as he has emptied the bottle. ( he did not drink it ) And she goes and gets him another.

His strain to continue pushes at him as he streches back over to the table. "Gloria I think it is time to go." A masculine voice says " yous going home with me right toots" in a statment not question. " No I am not i'm going home with my friend Steven." Shes can come too" No Gloria and I am going home" Gloria speaks up " Yes Kristy its time..."

Eric comes back to the table he rubs his temples and looks to Pius. " I think I may have it..." Eric rubs his temples again. " If you don't mind I need just a moment..."

Pius nods and looks around the room.

"It is good to see that people for the most part can get along."

He watches to see where Eric is going.

Eric doesn't move all he does is watch the table he has listened in on. He periodicly rubs his temples and watches the ladies and the men start to quietly argue.

Looks at Eric, 'It is allot at first. You will get use to it. Are you OK?"
