Renata walks into the sports bar behind Emma. She is as always dressed in her best ( http://www.edressme.com/sexy-sn1050-1.html ). She looks around with a smile on her face, remembering all the sports bars in New York that she had attended. She notices how welcomed Emma is here, how many people are excited to see her.

She chuckles slightly when the mascot and cheerleaders begin to dance on the tables around the room. Cont. behind Emma she follows her to the mezzanine. She hears the woman call Emma ' Strawberry' then sees Emma slightly blush. She pauses a moment, one brow raised and a slight smile on her face. Brushing that aside she sees that she had fallen behind and walks a little faster to catch up to Emma.

She sits down at the same time straightening her dress out. She notices the waitress walk up to them, noting her name tag stating her name as Galloway. She seems rather perky and she smells of bananas. Renata orders herself a beer and looks at Emma for her to order herself a drink. " I would not argue with you that this place is defiantly alive." she says smiling at Emma.

"Guinness, Galloway... thanks." She smiles. Emma relaxes and leans back in her seat. Truly the redhead seems the most comfortable that she's been all night. "Most of my co-workers hang out here and, between you and me, many of the mortal staff are cousins of mine. I only tell you that because you and Constantino have trusted me with the knowledge of some of your family and I figure the reverse is only polite... especially after what happened to you at that carnival."

Emma is quiet for a minute, clearly she knows that this is something that won't make for a happy evening's conversation so she quickly changes the subject. "The magpie games are always on here. The last idiot to walk in cheering for a rival team cause a real, honest to goodness bar brawl." She laughs. "It was pretty amazing. The regulars here really love their home town teams and they're good men and women, most of which come from families who have been in public service for generations." Emma points down to the crowded pitch. "See that... LMPD, LMFD ... that's my family, even the ones I'm not blood related to. Those folks are the real heros of this city... despite all the shit that you and I know is out there they run around blindly into danger they can't comprehend and they do it just because it's the right thing to do. You gotta love 'em for that."

Galloway brings the drinks and chirps brightly, "We got a special on wings tonight if you're interested? Personally I think they're too hot but the brats are GREAT. Quinn got one heck of a deal on them from the butcher on 8th street. Home grown meat, you just can't beat meat that comes from your own home town!"

Emma nearly mirfs her Guinness when Galloway makes the meat remark.

"Okay," the bouncy young woman laughs. "No meat for Em... how about you sweetie? You want some meat?"

"GALLOWAY!" Emma scolds her after having swallowed.

"What?!?"

Emma shoos her off with a hand motion. The young girl makes an overly exaggerated pout and moves on. "I'm soooo sorry about that. She's... a special case. Galloway is harmless but gets far too much sugar in her diet I think. I don't suppose you have an embarrassing family members? Man... I swear... sometimes I wonder why I come here." She chuckles and shakes her head, obviously amused.

Renata smirks at Emma's choice of beer. I remember the guys bringing this to many of the poker games. . Oh the nights full of crazy drunks playing poker till 4am. She keeps a smile on her face till Emma brings up the carnival. Her face goes from a smile to something of a sad/ angry expression.She takes a deep breath in then realizes that Emma had noticed her discomfort and had changed the subject.

Renata looks around the room at all the people as Emma tells her about them. With a very slight smile " They all look like nice people" still staring over the crowd. Renata seems to be staring off in a distance till she hears the waitress come back to the table. Taking her drink she smiles " Thank you." and nods at the waitress. She starts to take a drink of her beer while listening to the rather chipper waitress talking. How can people be so...chipper? So Happy? Arg, I never got along with the bouncy type, no wonder.Renata begins to take a drink of her beer then hears the waitress as if she would like some meat. Renata chokes slightly on her beer and gives a slight smile with a little surprise in her face." I am just fine, thank you very much." She offers a large smile to the waitress again and looks over at Emma.
She then chuckles " Yes, I do believe every family has one or two. I always try to forgot how embarrassing my family could be." She shakes her head and takes a full drink of her beer.

"Thanks for not taking that too personally." She lifts her mug. "To your health and your family's continued well-being." Emma drinks from the mug and sighs a bit as she sets it back down.

"So tennis and track, do you still follow those sports or are you more into watching sports you don't play? I mean, I can only assume you actually like sports by your reactions to this place. Most folks hate it if they don't get into the sports scene."

Renata nods her head at Emma and raises her glass for the toasting " The same goes to you."

Renata makes her self a little more comfortable..still sitting a little straighter than most in the bar.." I do not really watch many sports. From time to time I do try to watch a football game or two. I mostly only have time to read about them. I do not see how someone can just walk in and say they hate a place.." Renata pauses a moment as if she were thinking " Well I guess I could see how some people could do that, but it seems rather nice here." She raises a brow than smiles as she looks around. She takes another drink of her beer and sets it down on the table. " So, what sports are you into? If any at all."

"American football. I love the college level play. NFL kinda tweeks me off because those guys get paid WAY too much and whine even more." She chuckles. "So where are you from? I think I recognize your accent but I know how living in an area for a while can really change your voice so ... yea... where ya from?"

Renata looks up at Emma " I'm from New York, New York. It's a beautiful place...or it mostly is." Renata pauses with a nostalgic smile on her face " It was such a big place, full of big buildings. The banks were huge! That's one of the things I loved the most."

"I went to New York once, but it wasn't for much more than a visit. Place was huge... a girl could get lost in the streets there." Emma takes another drink of her Guinness. "So, you got family there still? I know some folks in your family have mortal households... hubby, kids, the whole nine yards. Heck, if you're like me you probably could keep a regular job and take care of them too. Well... that is if I wasn't cleaning up after the idiots we share the city with that is." She laughs and looks up at the TV just in time to see a first down. She smiles and drums her hand on the table in time with all the other patrons in support of the hometown team.

Renata puts her hand on the back of her neck as if to be scratching an itch for a second. She looks at Emma with eyes that seem to be getting dark and cold " I have a husband back in New York. That is all left there. My mother and father died at a young age and I was the only child cause my mother refused to have anymore children after me. I don't have any children either." She pulls out a neatly folded kerchief that was tucked into the side of her dress and wipes her neck. " I spent so much time at the banks that they were more family than quite literally anyone." She stares off in the distance a second then realizes what she is doing. She looks back at Emma and while folding the kerchief and placing it back in place she offers up a large smile that seems to be hiding a slew of emotions. She takes a large drink of her beer " Do you dance? If so why don't we head out to Club Indigo. We can go to the VIP area for some great wine and then dance for a while. What do you say?"
