A young lady, about 25 years old enters the Cathedral. She has on an overcoat, black boots, a winter hat and gloves.
She moves with some grace over to the holy water and dips her fingers into it just after she has removed her gloves. She completes the sign of the cross and then kneels for a second.
The red haired women looks around and moves over to sit. As she sits, she reaches into a pocket and pulls out a rosary and she begins to pray.
Make the Sign of the Cross and begins. Her voice is just above a whisper.
" I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell. The third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen."
Then she follows that with an "Our Father", then three "Hail Marys."
With a pause the women looks around again, and continues with a "Glory be to the Father."
She then contiunes to pray the rosary.
She she completes her prayers, she sits back and looks at the alter. A smile comes to her face. She stands moves to the end of the row, kneels and speaks again.
"Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! "
The young lady seems happier and there is a spring in her step as she moves to the doors, opens them and walks out.
Jason is kneeling outside on the steps of the Cathedral as the young lady walks out the front door. With his head bowed and hands clasp together in pray, there can be seen an old rosary gripped tightly. Whispering almost desperately in prayer,
“Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes for mercy towards us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O merciful, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.”
He crossed himself as he finished and kisses the cross on the rosary. Looking up the steps as the door opens and the light spills out over him. As he gazes into the sudden shower of light, the young woman stepping out seems to glow within the light to his site.
Eyes going wide at the image before him, “Holly Mother?!” An express part awe part fear covers his face as he looks up at the woman.
~The young women looks down at the man kneeling on the stairs of the Church~
"No, Sir. I am not."
~She smiles and you can see her long red hair and green eyes. This is someone that you have never met.~
"But there are those in this world that need help and direction. Maybe you are one, just like I am. Be kind to those that need it, be giving to those that are in need and some day in return the same shall be done to you."
~She smiles again, has her breath can be seen. The color of her face becomes more visible has she leans down to touch your head with her warm hand. She nods and walks down the stairs and heads out of sight~

~When she touches his forehead, she can feel the lack of warmth in his.~
"Wait, please dont go."
Half rising from the steps, "Please."
~Jason watchers her go. Making a last cross on himself, he stands full, and drops his rosary into his pocket. He then starts to follow the young lady at a distance. Until he loses her in the night.~
~Standing there in the darkness, away from the church, a final "please" dieing on his lips.~
~A large sigh coming to him~ "So much for sighns." ------- Brian Knowles

Looks sligtly perplexed by the question. "Would you believe me if I said that I don't know?"
He seems to struggle with how to express what he's feeling and thinking, "I was told simply that I needed to come here and that what I saught would be found here. But I'm not even sure yet what I'm seeking. But yet here I am and here you are. I ... I just have to believe your it, what ever that might be. I'm sorry I wish I could express this better. But," looks around at the very public place, "This is not a place I feel comfortable speaking in. Perhaps back in the churh?"
~Jason follows the young lady into the church, looking about nerviously.~
"I was told by my mentor to come here. He said that I would find some answer to some of the questions I've been asking. I was lead to believe that the who or what that could lead me to those answer would not be hard to find. Since you walked out just as I arrived.... I have to assume that some how you're connected."
~Looking the young lady over with penetrating eyes~
"But I'm just not certain if you are what I'm looking for. I was hoping for a more certain sign before I speak to much. Many lives could hang in the balance if I'm wrong or don't recieve the correct answer."
"Well If I am what you are looking for then the answers of the questions are within you. There are a great many things that are going on here. The presents of the Star tells us that."
~she nods~
"I can understand that you are looking for some proof of who I am or what my goals are but the city requires those wish to held a helping had, we all need someone that is willing to aid."
"To aid this city is my goal. I wish to make a home for myself here and to do so I must first protect those within the city. I'm so very tired of having to move from one place to the next."
