Lydia Bates held a social gathering this past weekend to welcome the New Prince. Some were unable to attend as business held them away. But those that were there were appreciative of the Prince’s Speech. The following speech is in his words:

I find myself sitting and thinking about left or right, Up or down. This of course is the Direction of the city I wish to take. I pause for a moment thinking hard and then find my self reflecting back on this Beautiful city that we call a home.

It is our nature to take and take and take till our plate is so full that it’s time for someone else to take from us. Those of you that have been around far longer than me see this more often. We all see it in the Kine news every day about people taking.

I am doing my best to ignore the urges that my inner beast beckons me to, as a servant to this city and to all you I have the ability to make and break things. This is the month of love and this is the month of romance. How ever it will not be very soon a matter of hours to be frank. How ever this city will still need a compassionate hand to guide it from the evil that lurks in the shadows and even directly in the sun light.

Or Sins are far greater than the average Kine will commit in his regular day to day. I am starting a group that will begin to give back to the City to help its growth and to secure ours even better. I believe it is most important that our home and our food source stay strong.

I am finding ways for our Clans to give back to the City and to help it from its self. Clan Brujah has sworn to assist the Library and schools in better books and better equipment. Clan Ventrue will be helping with an outreach program to help Drug abusers and the Homeless to include the VA over flow here in town.

The Clan of the Rose will be donating Arts and crafts supplies along with items for the music room to increase the output in art in our cities schools.

As I look around I see that we have a member of every clan in this room that is a part of this thing of ours. It is time for us to right some of the sins that this city has had upon it. The children of today are our hope and perhaps future members to our clans. Each Clan will be tasked with something to assist this City. If your Primogen is not around tell them I need to see them yesterday.

It is important that in our Greatest time of need that the civilian population of this city is kept blind, fat, and happy. We also glare Death in the eyes with the Seals being broken. I ask our city for each clan to get together and do their best to try and figure out what they can do to help the process of finding these seals and protecting them to the bitter end.

Everyone’s life in this city is important and we must look at this as a whole and not as the individualistic beast that screams at us night in and night out. I ask this city only one thing. Be a better you then you already are. The Sins of this world are too great, the Sins of our kinda are even stronger because we can get away with a lot more. I ask that in being a better us that we find it in ourselves to fight against the urge to destroy and push for a better tomorrow.

The Prince also held a meeting with the Court to discuss the current situation of the city.
