A new drug on the city streets called "HH" (a very pure form of Meth that kills nearly everyone who tries it) has been taking it's toll and the Kindred are begining to suffer for it... at least indirectly. Noteworthy (near) HH victim of the night is Kirsi Caruso, a young opera starlet rumored to be cast in the title role of the upcoming attempt on the "cursed" Carmen.

Seeking out leads on who might be behind the drug eventually leads to the discovery of Toreador Primogen Chase Winters' four newly made childer and a confrontation with him. In the end Chase Winters ended up dead and Christian Cross ends up Toreador Primogen. Gangrel Dominic also ended up being named Loyal for his hand in the affair but rumors around elysium say that neither could have pulled off the coup with their heads in tact were it not for unexpected outside help.

A group of neonates, at the request of Seneshal Calhoun, investigate the disapperance of Ventrue Harpy, Matron Milicent. What they find is that she's been the victim of what may have been diablerie. The investigation takes some of them undercover within the Anarch Movement of the city and what they learn there is that neonates of that sect have been going missing for the better part of the last year. In the end, the investigators find that someone has been running an auction service that deals in the selling of Kindred! Sadly, their luck in finding the murderer of Matron Milicent was a great deal less successful.
