July 2009
Indigo Club is bought out by a private party and the Tremere and Ventrue clans are shut out of owning the crown jewel of city nightlife. Prince Cahill holds a very short court and gives over some of the Toreador feeding grounds to Clan Tremere. Later in the night the Anarchs, allegedly with the help of Seneschal Calhoun, attack Prince Cahill unsuccessfully and Calhoun is bloodhunted. Replacing him is the unexpected Sabre of Clan Gangrel who hasn't been seen all night. Shocked by the sudden change from apparent Anarch (he was one of the undercover kindred) to Camarilla Leader, several kindred mount an investigation into rumors that Cahill may have been behind the Auction service.
Meanwhile, Toreador Christian Cross and Constantino Giovanni, have a tug of war over the lead in the opera "Carmen" by the end of the night the Giovanni backed Kirsi Caruso still holds the lead in name but appears she will be unable to fill her role as someone kidnapped her and handed her over to a street gang to be man-handled. If the Giovanni know who is responsible has yet to be made clear... but it is certain that they will likely seek revenge.
By the end of the night Cahill is confronted by his own hired bodyguards, including the man who would replace him: Stan of Clan Malkavian and a large group of Anarchs. Apparently under the effects of his own derangement Cahill is unable to function well enough to answer questions and literally disappears in the middle of a heated combat against anarch forces. Stan rises to power naming several court members and asking for all the clans to gather on the 8th of August to present their primogen to him.
