The night begins in a flurry of events. Rumors of the final death of a Giovanni elder at the hands of Sabre lead many on a manhunt. They soon become distracted as kindred who have frequented the recently arrived carnival begin disappearing, some even reappearing with mysterious mask. Christian Cross, not wanting a war with the Giovanni, claims praxis and orders court to be called, demanding that Sabre be presented. After a night of searching and much heated tension, Sabre is presented at court and Cross decides that Sabre will be staked for 2 months for his crimes. After the Princes decree, Sabre is staked and his body taken by the Princes men.

Hearing of the Princes decision not to hand over the body of Sabre, which apparently had already been agreed upon before, Constantino Giovanni ask that all kindred return to court so he could claim what was his. Constantino's arrival at court lead to a very heated discussion between himself and the prince. The debate over whether Sabres body would be handed over or not, was interrupted by the sudden appearance of rose petals dropping from nowhere in the middle of court. It was then revealed by clan Ravnos that the Fae were involved with the events of the night, and the reason that Sabres body was not being handed over was to prevent the Giovanni from killing him and incurring the wrath of the Fae.

It was then revealed the Prince had lost the body of Sabre and all negotiations between Cross and Constantino fell apart completely. It is unknown completely the final events, who currently possesses Sabres body, whether the Fae would retaliate or not, or even why the Fae were involved in the nights events, If the Giovanni plan to retaliate further for the loss of one of their own, or if Cross would be able to keep Praxis any better then the Princes before him.
