Thread: A txt to Logan (Attn: Logan)

Logan txt's back. "Gimme 411 on your position. BRT."

Logan arrives in the 'foyer' about five or six minutes later. He walks in and looks for a place to sit.

"Hey, Mr. Otto, Been a while. Mind if I sit?"

Assuming no objections Logan sits quietly and leans back.

"So... Assigned to the extraction team? Can I ask who assigned it to you?"

Otto gives you the choice of a variety of chairs. "Mr. Walker wanted me to go on the trip and thought I'd be able to help. I have not been briefed on the particulars but he said you were in charge and that is Ok by me. I don't always get along with the politics of your sire, but you seem like an upstanding fella"

Otto chats amiably "With the big hubba baloo that occured a couple months ago I can certainly understand some reluctance on your part. I certainly won't force myself on your group as I know the importance of being able to trust the fella next to you in the trenches but from my understanding we are to avoid blood shed on this mission and that sits well with me n' the critter inside me. That said, I know what war is like, and sometimes... well, sometimes you just don't have a choice about doing some unpleasant things and I'm not one to back down from doing what needs to be done."

Logan nods, listening respectfully,his eyes closed as he considers Otto's words. After Otto finishes, Logan opens his eyes and looks into Otto's.

"From what I know about you, I like you too, Otto. I dunno what your sire's told you, but the Brujah went to bat for you after you got the shaft. We don't do that shit for just *anybody*."

"So, when I say this isn't about you, please understand that I mean it completely. This ain't about what you or even *I* want. It's about achieving the objective, and making sure that those that ...."

Logan closes his eyes and take a deep breath.

"making sure that those that die on the field don't die in vain. I have a team ready and prepped. We have a plan that will be the best for everyone involved."

"Our ... personal preferences... have nothin' to do with what's gonna go down. So I'm gonna ask that you join up with one of the other teams."

"If I were you, there's two positions I'd want to be in, when the shit starts. If I were lookin' to score political points, I'd find a way to save Ash's bacon. A Life boon from the Seneschal would be a nice notch on the old bedpost."

"Then again, if you want to do something good for the city? Put yourself in a position to pull Kalie or Tino out of the fire. Between them, they know more about what's comin' then just about anyone heading into this thing."

"Those are just two of the choices you got. But bein' part of the team I'm with ain't one of them, Nothin' personal man."

Otto nods "I appreciate your honesty and I don't even need to know the real reason for not wanting me on the team, I can think of a couple good ones myself and I don't even know the whole picture."

In responce to Ash "I'm not real interested in playing politics...just don't see as it has a place on the battlefield but you know your team and I'll find another way to help out the cause. I certainly don't want to slow anyone down."
