Thread: Batter Up!!! (11/6/09 Attn: Kalie,Otto, and others that JTM texted)

After sending the text, Lydia drives to where she is suppose to meet JTM and Kalie.
She pulls up next to their car and turns if off. Sitting there for a few minutes she watches to see what they are up to.

Nothing happens so she gets out and walks over to the car. "Hello JTM, Hi Kalie, what's up?"

JTM apparently too busy relaxing, doesn’t hear the car pulling up behind him, let alone Lydia walking right up next to the car saying hello and is startled by Lydia’s approach. He leans his hand out the window hoping she shakes it.

“Sup Lydia. Long time. No see.”

He shakes her hand regardless.

“Oh yeah. Lydia. Kalie. Kalie. Lydia. I think you two have met, but just wanted to make sure”

He gets the introductions out of the way, looking back at Kalie.

“See Kalie. I told you that if I texted em…they'd come. They haven’t let me down yet. By the way....you owe me $20.”

He chuckles abit wondering if Kalie got that one.

“Just doing some shopping Lydia. Wanted to see your ummmm..pretty face…yeah that’s it ,and make sure you were safe. Getting a little of this lovely Lamar night air and going to get some exercise to boot. By the way, Barbie’s on an extended vacation with that football guy I was telling you about. Hopefully she’ll be back soon and didn’t decide to run off with the guy. Who knows?”

He makes sure the “mist” doesn’t seep into Kalie’s car as he pulls his hand back. He then turns toward the front window of the car seeing if a baseball uniform wearing vamp is anywhere nearby.

“Waiting on the head honcho of this place to get his lazy ass here, that’s all. Don't know where the fuck he is either. You wanna tag? I’d let you in the car, but it aint mine. Wait….let me check with Kalie first k.”

He looks over to Kalie hoping he hasn’t screwed the pooch already. He does the same pathetic sad puppy routine to her.

“That’s cool with you, right Kalie?”

Laughing at him, she replies "yes I have met Kalie." Shaking her head at his craziness.

Looking over to Kalie, she shakes her head "no, I will take my car." Like I would ever go to who knows where without a way back. Silly

She walks over and gets in her car turns on some music and sits back and waits for JTM's other guests to arrive.
Boy I hope they hurry up. I don't have all night. I have things to do.

"Ummm...Lydia we are gonna have to walk there when he shows up. Car's gonna have to stay here. That cool?"

He watches her go back to her car, and hears music from her car.

Dammit, she's got tunes!!!! That bitch!!!!

"Let me know when he gets here k Kalie."

JTM goes back to relaxing, waiting for Otto to show up so we can get this over with. He dreads walking through the filth again, especially in this clean new suit, but is ready for the 10 block walk too, just to stretch his legs out.

(OOC I'll be gone most of today..assume JTM will follow Otto there. I'll reply when I can.)

Yup...Otto is noted for his prompt replies to text messages. A bit after midnight he shows up and knocks on the window to the Car JTM is in.

"Hey fella, how you doing?" he glances over at Kalie and smiles to her "I'm bettin' something is going on I'm not aware of.....anything you two want to share?" it would appear by the cheshire cat like smile on his face that he thinks the two of you are 'an item'.

JTM looks at Otto peering in his window, smiling back at him.

“Doing great Otto, actually. I’ll take a happy meal supersize it with a root beer for Barbie k. Make it snappy.”

He chuckles abit looking at Kalie hoping she’s cool with that comment. He motions his hand out the door for Lydia to come up to his car window again.

“Nah, nothing out of the ordinary. Same shit. Different night. Let’s just say (looks quickly at Kalie before speaking his mind.) WE have it under control, and I’d rather NOT talk about it, and leave it at that. If you wanna know…ask her, my lips are sealed on it tight.”

Looks at Otto trying to put two and two together on what’s he’s thinking, not happy about Otto’s wrong thought process too.

“Wait, you think her and I… (pointing to him and Kalie back and forth) did the nasty? Are you out of your fucking mind? Just because you see someone naked doesn’t mean you are bumping uglies. (shudders at the glimpse he saw of Kalie too) Get that out of your fucking head right now. I came here to do biz with all of you, just waiting on one more to show, but have you got the targets set up this time? I need some practice again. Besides you have the best hardware for the job I need to do too, Otto. Different kind of wood for that matter. I kinda lost my other bat, so I need a couple replacements for the time being till I find it. It’s out there. I know it is.”

He reminisces about all the good times he had with that bat and the people he “BITCH’”’d and “HO”’d too, then snaps back remembering something else to ask for..

“Oh yeah Otto I’m needing a line on a funeral pyre, since I can’t go to my regular outlet for gear. Kalie and the Brujah definitely need me in the city, so I’m kind of wanting to make some offers and get that item ASAP too or they’ll have my ass, understood? What would you want for it? Cash? I got plenty of that. A Boon perhaps??? I have a minor from Saboth if you want it instead. Maybe you could get him to show up when you call him better than when he doesn’t show for me. I already beat the shit out of him once, call it the JTM combat training program. Hey he volunteered for it. You might want to talk to him about that too. So what do you say about that? What’s your answer? Do we have some sort of deal?”

He waits to see if someone else shows up to the spotbefore getting out of the car, wondering if Lydia will get out of her car and approach, waiting on Otto’s answer, and hoping he hasn’t pissed Kalie off…yet.

Watching Otto and JTM talk, Lydia sits in her car. Why would I want to get out? Crazy man. Doesn't he know where he is? FOOL.

After a few minutes and tired of waiting Lydia gets out of the car and walks over.

"Hello Otto, how are you this evening?" Looking to JTM and shaking her head at him. Mumbling to herself, "yes, yes I know. Just look at him, I can tell"

To JTM. "Come on let's go. I don't have all night" Looking at Otto thinking
Filthy Nos. Has guests and he can't even clean the place up. What is up with that?
Starting to pace she is mumbling. Then she stops and looks at the car "Come on. What are you waiting for? If someone else is to show let them follow later. I am an important person don't ya know."
Pacing again and mumbling she is waiting for them to lead the way.

After arriving at the spot, JTM will notice that Kalie doesn’t change her shoes and while he seems to be caught off guard by the approaches of various individuals she is attentive and aware of her surroundings. While he seems content to relax she is in constant motion, her fingers drumming the wheel, her feet tapping on the car’s floorboard while the wait.
As he talks with Lydia, Kalie seems content to remain quietly on the edge. The same is true with Otto except when it seems to her that Otto was fishing for information. To someone with high empathy, she will appear on the edge of interrupting the conversation for the briefest of times until JTM explains the what nots and will even laugh out loud when JTM seems “rattled” by Otto’s indications of their relationship.
Getting out of her car Kalie closes the door and seems to be smiling in the darkness. “I agree let’s get going. I have much to do as well.”

“Fine. We can do that. Otto can get the other one later, right?”

He rolls up the window, locking the door, before getting out of the car. He shuts the door somewhat hard to make sure it’s shut. He looks directly at Otto.

“Lead on, Otto. You’re the one that knows where we’re going. You also said I’d get lost if I didn’t have you guide me in there, so are we ready? Ladies?”

He waits until Otto leads the way to the batting cages again, making sure that the “ladies first” motion is obvious and taking up the rear position behind them.
